Projects   Help Seniors support the activities of organisations which promotes Successful Ageing.  However, there are projects which need special attention and can be tackled by groups of volunteers: 1.       Housing Fund The options of less privileged older persons regarding safe, affordable housing are rapidly getting less. Help Seniors founded a Housing Fund to relocate destitute, neglected and abused older persons to housing schemes with unblemished records.        (Click Here For More Info). 2.     Pretoria CBD:  Housing Scheme The lift in this five storey facility is 40 years old and needs to be replaced.  A fund is established for this purpose.  Projects lead by volunteers along with residents is one way to generate funds. 3.       Centurion:  Service Centre This service centre provides meals per day to 120 older persons.  Due to the high food prices, these meals now need to be subsidised.  R6 000 per month is needed for this project. 4.       Mamelodi, Soshanguve and  Atteridgeville: Luncheon Clubs At these luncheon clubs older persons receive a decent meal, in many cases the only one in for a week.  Rising food prices are increasingly straining the supply of meals.  Consequently, older persons  are reluctant to attend the club activities and then loneliness takes it toll.
